Shenzhen Design Week 2017

 Dal 21 al 28 aprile 2017 si terrà la prima edizione della “Shenzhen Design Week", un’interessante manifestazione di design internazionale ospitata dal Municipalità di Shenzhen e organizzata dal Dipartimento pubblicitario del comitato di partito comunale di Shenzhen (Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Office), un evento di grande rilevanza supportato anche dall'UNESCO.

 

La Shenzhen Design Week mira a costruire una piattaforma internazionale e di collaborazione per l'industria del design al fine di agevolare lo scambio culturale internazionale, migliorare il branding e la promozione della stessa città di Shenzhen. Fornirà inoltre buone opportunità per i designer di tutto il mondo per mostrare i propri talenti attraverso eventi come mostre, workshop e forum.

 

La Shenzhen Design Week è progettata come un evento annuale e affronterà di volta in volta tematiche differenti. Tra gli eventi e premiazioni previste ricordiamo: Guest City, Cities of Design, Design Award, SZ-HK Design Twin-Cities, Design Tour, Design Talks.

 

I numerosi eventi dedicati si terranno presso cinque differenti venues di Shenzhen e avranno come sede principale l’i-Factory a Shekou.

 

 

Tra le personalità italiane che parteciperanno all’evento, ricordiamo Samuele Martelli, laureatosi in architettura a Firenze, rinomato per numerosi progetti internazionali per grandi firme e hotel tra cui Hilton and Sofitel.

 

 

 E Stefano Boeri, architetto, urbanista e politico Italiano, ex vice sindaco di Milano, chairman della Milan design week nel 2012 e organizzatore dell’Expo di Milano del 2015. Rinomato per i sui progetti architettonici sostenibili, Boeri ha sviluppato importanti progetti di riqualificazione urbana a livello europeo e non solo (Milano, Roma, Mosca, Pechino, San Paolo, Qingdao, Marsiglia, Astana, Venezia, Bolzano, Doha).

Tra i suoi progetti più noti, il Bosco verticale nel quartiere Isola a Milano, due grattacieli di 100 e 80 metri le cui facciate accolgono una biodiversità floristica di oltre 11.000 tra alberi, arbusti ed essenze vegetali.

 

 

 

Shenzhen Design week

Starting from April 21 till 28, Shenzhen will organize the Design Week.

It is the biggest design festival in Shenzhen with various design events and activities taking place during one week all over the city. Designers and design players around the world are all welcome to participate.

 

Sponsored by Shenzhen Municipal Government, Shenzhen Design Week is organized by Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Office with Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association (SDPA) serving as Secretariat.

 

Shenzhen Design Week aims at building an international, cross-categories, professional platform for design industry. This platform of large scale will facilitate international culture exchange, city branding and promotion, showcasing design achievements, and public education on design thinking and consciousness.

 

 Shenzhen Design Week is programmed annually according to theme and focus. However, it will include some regular events and activities, such as Guest City, Cities of Design, Design Award, SZ-HK Design Twin-Cities, Design Tour, Design Talks,

 

Over 2000 works will be exhibited in 5 different venues in Shenzhen. The main venue is i-Factory in Shekou.

 

Over 100 designers from more than 20 cities, including London, Paris, Helsinki, Berlin, Montreal, Detroit, Seoul, Nagoya, Beijing, Shanghai, etc. Will take part in exhibition, talks, workshops, etc.

 

Among the Italians designers there will the possibility to meet with Samuele Martelli, architect graduated at Florence University, famous for his collaboration with many international brands and hotels like Hilton and Sofitel.

 

 Stefano Boeri, architect, urban planner, former mayor of Milan, chairman at the 2012 Milan design week and among the organizers of Milan Expo in 2015. Famous for his projects with a focus on biodiversity and sustainable architecture.

He has recently completed the Vertical Forest, two sustainable residential towers based on urban biodiversity in Milan.
